Choosing a unique password for any online account is a MUST! With so many different online accounts and passwords for people to remember this can be challenging. Remember, this is not just limited to your account access, make sure when entering security questions for Interac e-Transfers that they are not easily guessed.

Choosing an exclusive password for your sensitive online accounts (email/financial accounts) is important since a security breach at one website can leave your password exposed to criminals who may try to use it on other websites.

Not only should your password be complex, but length is also important. Always use the maximum password length allowed by the application.

Avoid using names, dates or numbers tied to your identity (birthday, pets, etc.). Anything that may be readily available on social media.

Have you changed your password recently?

Changing your personal access code routinely is a good habit which helps you ensure you are keeping up with current security enhancements to personal access code requirements.

Have you activated AutoDeposit for eTranfers?

Never have your e-Transfer compromised! No more security questions, just an email to let you know your funds have been deposited!
